Hi, I’m Alisha.
I am a User Experience (UX) Content Strategist and Squarespace web designer. I believe that strong design comes from strong strategy. It’s why I’m so passionate about the intersection of content, business goals, and user need. For me, it’s not enough to have a beautiful website if your users can’t find the content they’re looking for within a few clicks. Instead, I design websites that are both easy to use and rooted in strategy.
My background
I wasn’t always a Strategist by profession, but I like to think I was always a strategic thinker. Before becoming a UX Content Strategist, I was a writer and researcher, working in the nonprofit sector as a grant manager and contractor. I studied English and Economics at the University of Pittsburgh, and moved abroad to write and study in Oxford, U.K. While I no longer work for nonprofits, I continue to volunteer, most recently with Mutual Aid Philadelphia. I’ve worked with several artists and entrepreneurs on developing their websites, and solidified my UX knowledge through an apprenticeship with Thinkful.
And finally,
When I’m not actively building websites, I love to read, practice speaking Spanish and yoga, endlessly peruse second-hand clothing stores, explore new places, and spend time with my very musical partner in our home in Philadelphia.
